Race Categories and Conditions

The North Face 100® Thailand includes 5 race categories which are
  1. 100Km Solo
  2. 100Km Duo
  3. 50Km
  4. 25Km
  5. 15Km

Conditions of each race category

All race categories, applications must be submitted before 31 December 2015 or until slots sold out.
The 100km Solo
  • This is by application and invitation only
  • To be considered for entry, runners must finish a Marathon below 5:30hrs within the last 24 month or one Ultra race within the last 24 month.
  • Runners also have to be fit and healthy.
  • 2 laps of the 50km course
  • Runners must finish within cut-off time of 18 hours. Please see “Race Rules” for further details.
  • There are two sub- categories : male and female
The 100km Duo
  • Duo race is a run in a team of two
  • 1 lap of the 50km course for each of the team members
  • The time of each individual runner will be added together to form the team’s total 100km time.
  • The team members are not required to run together.
  • Both runners must finish within cut-off time of 18 hours. Please see “Race Rules” for further details.
  • There are two sub-categories:
    • Open category (for male only and mixed gender team)
    • Female category (for female only)
The 50km Solo
  • Run 1 lap of the 50km course
  • Runners must finish within cut-off time of 18 hours. Please see “Race Rules” for further details.
  • There are two sub-categories : male and female
The 25km Run
  • Run 1 lap of the 25km course
  • Runners must finish within the cut-off time of 5 ½ hours.
  • See below for the age categories.
The 15km Run
  • Run 1 lap of the 15km course
  • Runners must finish within the cut-off time of 3 ½ hours.
  • See below for the age categories

*Age is calculated by 2016 minus your birth year
Cut off procedure: It is mandatory for 100Km runners to reach each respective checkpoint before the assigned cut-off times. Runners who reach the check points after the cut-off times will not be allowed to continue. There will be a race marshal to do the cut-off of each check point. The runner who is cut-off has to return the timing chip immediately and stop running. The runners must obey all directions from the marshals and the race organizers.
